SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1, 2016

The KATE planning committee invites you to present a poster session on one or more of the following topics:

Topics for Poster Session:

  • Using Assessments to Guide Instruction
  • Instructional Strategies that Align with Learning Objective
  • Implement Instruction that Facilitates Higher Order Thinking and Questioning
  • Teacher Leadership / Student Leadership
  • Building Professional Learning Communities for Teachers and Students
  • Instructional Strategies to Effectively Teach Students with Limited English

Proposal Parameters:

Proposals should be sent electronically with the following information clearly marked.

  • Cover Page: Name of Presenter, Title of Poster, Topic of Poster Session, Institution/School, Address, Telephone, email address (Provide the same information for all additional presenters involved)
  • Poster expectations: Include Size and Type of Poster, Purpose or Objectives, Relationship to the Conference Theme and Teacher Education interests.
  • Send proposal as a Word attachment to Dr. Helen Rader (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

There will be a table for displaying posters, and poster set-up time is from 7:30-8:00 AM. Posters will be displayed from 8:00-8:30 AM and 11:30 AM-11:50 AM. Individuals that are selected are expected to share information and respond to questions about their posters during the registration and breakfast time (8:00-8:30 AM) and prior to lunch (11:30-11:50 AM). Please bring handouts to distribute.

NOTE: Please plan to attend the “student strand sessions” about the future of teachers in education.
